News: Associação Caminho da Liberdade is recognized as a Memory Point by IBRAM.

The Caminho da Liberdade Association was recognized in July 2023 as a Memory Spot by the Brazilian Institute of Museums (IBRAM).

The merit stems from the entity's performance in programs to promote the intangible heritage and social memory of Tapera and other districts and locations in Mato Dentro.

Among the initiatives that contributed to the recognition, the highlight is the Tapera’s Intangible Heritage Valuation Program by the Estúdio Mídia Jovem, conceived in partnership with the Centro Cultural Tapera Real and Grift Humanidades, which offered research support for the creation of the 3 Rs methodology.

In this direction, by enhancing the use of digital culture platforms, the program has contributed to the construction of intergenerational bridges for the rescue, registration and transfer of cultural manifestations and traditional crafts.

The Memory Spot of Associação Caminho da Liberdade joins a collaborative arrangement that already includes the Ponto de Cultura of Banda Retreta Lyra de Santo Antônio, responsible for managing the Tapera Real Cultural Center.
